How do I know if I am eligible
to enroll in this traffic school course? What is the length of this traffic school
course? What do I receive as proof that I
completed the course? What is the cost of the course and what
methods of payment are accepted? Can I take the course from various
locations and computers?
Q: How do I know if I am eligible to enroll in this traffic school course? A: This course is available for moving violations issued in all Florida jurisdictions. You will be able to receive credit for the following list of courses by taking this course:
Q: Do I need any type of approval before taking this course? A: Please remember that taking any driver improvement course to reduce or negate a traffic citation must have prior approval of the General District Court Judge. When a driver completes a course approved by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the court withholds adjudication, does not assess points, and a reduced fine is paid in accordance with section 318.14(9), Florida Statutes. Also be aware that taking any driver improvement course to reduce insurance rates must be approved by an individual insurance company. An insurance reduction may be authorized; however, there is no state law that requires a reduction upon certified completion of a driver improvement course. [Return] Q: If I attended a traffic school in the past 12 months, can I take this course? A: No, you are only allowed to take a driver improvement course once in the period of one year. However, if you are ordered by a court to attend traffic school, or if you receive a TCAC letter from the Florida DHSMV ordering you to attend, then you are eligible to take our course even if you have taken a driver improvement course within the past twelve months. [Return] Q: When can I begin the course? A: You can start the course at anytime. It is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. [Return] Q: What is the length of this traffic school course? A: It will take you at least four hours to complete this course since that is the amount of time required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. [Return] Q: Do I have to complete the entire course in one sitting? A: No, you can log in and out of the course at any time. Your progress will be tracked so you will be able to resume the course where you last left off. [Return] Q: What do I receive as proof that I completed the course? A: You will receive a certificate of completion in the mail once you complete the course. You may also print an unofficial completion slip at the end of the course for your records. [Return] Q: What do I need to do with the certificate of completion? A: You should sign the certificate of completion and deliver it to the court. Note: Broward and Palm Beach courts allow us to deliver the certificates directly to the court. If you complete the course to clear a citation issued in one of these courts, your certificate will be delivered directly to the courts. [Return] Q: When will I receive my certificate of completion? A: Once you have completed the course and passed the final exam, your official certificate of completion will be mailed to you within 72 hours. [Return] Q: What if I need to receive my certificate as soon as possible? A: You may request express delivery of your certificate when you register or by calling 800 442-1149. [Return] Q: What is the cost of the course and what methods of payment are accepted? A: The cost of each course is located in the course catalog. You may pay using all major credit cards (Visa ®, MasterCard ®, Discover ® or American Express ®) or Telecheck ®. [Return] Q: Is it secure to send my credit card information over the Internet? A: Yes, 360training uses a secure Web site to process all monetary transactions. [Return] Q: Can I take the course from various locations and computers? A: The courses are available to you from any computer that has Internet access. [Return] Q: Can I take this course with the AOL ® browser? A: You can take the course with any browser of your choosing, although 360training does not support the AOL ® browser. This means our technical support team is not able to help you in the event of a problem while taking a course with the AOL ® browser. We do suggest that you use another browser while signed on with AOL ®. To do this, log in to AOL ® and minimize the program. While still connected to the Internet, click on the START button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. Click PROGRAMS, and then click INTERNET EXPLORER ®. The program icon will have a blue "e." [Return] Q: Do I need to use a PC? What if I have a Macintosh? A: If you have a MAC ®, then you can still sign on to take any of our classes. Many of our customers have taken their courses on MACs ® and had no problems whatsoever. However, be aware that our technical support team may be unable to assist you should you encounter technical difficulties. They do not have MACs ® and, therefore, may be unable to replicate any problem you may encounter. If you have a MAC ®, then you will need the latest version of Internet Explorer ®, as well as the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player ®. [Return] Q: What happens if I have technical difficulties or the system malfunctions during the course? A: If you experience any problem while taking the course, then please call 1-800-442-1149 or e-mail support@360training.com for assistance. 360training provides customer service 24 hours a day seven days a week. [Return] Q: What happens if I get disconnected from the Internet? A: If you get disconnected from the Internet, then you will need to log back into your account. If this happens, then you will be returned to the beginning of the lesson that you were working on when you were disconnected. [Return] Q: Do I need to have sound on my computer to take these classes? A: While sound is another feature of our courses, it is not necessary for a customer to have sound in order to learn the course material or complete the course. All information played in audio is also displayed in text by the course player. [Return] Q: How do I get a username or password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it? A: The username and password is selected by the student. It should be something that you can easily remember. We suggest using your e-mail address. You will use the same username and password each time you attempt to log in to the virtual university page to access your course. This information is entered in the returning students section on the homepage of the virtual university. If you forget your password, then you can call 800-442-1149 to request it. [Return] |
